ABOUT VERDADERA

Verdadera is a publication created by and for Monta Vista High School students for the purpose of instigating communication concerning the reality of high school within the community.  Based off Los Gatos High School’s Reality Check, Verdadera, meaning “truthfully” in Spanish, is a bluntly honest publication mailed home to all MV families each month discussing issues that MVHS students face.  It is comprised of real-life experiences submitted anonymously by MVHS students and alumni, professional advice on the issue, and resources compiled by the staff.

Verdadera is composed by the students at Monta Vista High School, in Cupertino, California.  The ideas expressed within are not necessarily reflected by the school or staff themselves.

MISSION STATEMENT

This publication is not your average newsletter.  It contains the words and emotions of many students on campus. It was not created to solely to inform; it was created to express, to reflect, and to release.  What teenagers go through in their day-to-day lives is much more than meets the eye and each one of the students at Monta Vista has his or her own story to tell.
